Old Cameo

Cameo Cleaners of Gramercy Park was founded in 1956 and has operated continuously at 284 Third Avenue. Founded by Irving Levine, Cameo Cleaners has only been operated by two families in its entire history.

 

Originally established as a neighborhood dry cleaning firm in the early 1990’s present owner Jerry Pozniak decided to expand and offer services city wide. Cameo Cleaners had established itself as one of the première garment care firms in New York City.

 

Arthur Copeland Cleansers is the oldest operating dry cleaning firm on Long Island. Established in 1934 in the Five Towns area of Long Island, Arthur Copeland has always been know as “the” place for stain removal and hand dry cleaning.

 

Arthur Copeland has seen a variety of owners through its life and was purchased by Jerry Pozniak's team in 2006.

 

Jerry’s business partner at Arthur Copeland is Sal Fernandez who got his start at Cameo Cleaners in the 1990’s. Jerry and Sal have been working together for 15 years.

 

Jerry Pozniak is one of the most respected garment care professionals in the New York area. He and his staff are personally responsible for cleaning the entire wardrobe for the Metropolitan Opera House.
